Water Baptism is very important to the Christian walk, Jesus included the command in what we refer to as the “Great Commission.” His instructions were for His disciples “baptizing them”. In the very same sentence He told them to preach about Him, He also commanded them to baptize.

Going down into water is an association with Christ’s death. Coming up out of the water is an association with His resurrection. All over the world, water baptism by immersion is recognized as an identification with the death, burial and resurrection of Christ.

Romans 6:4-5
Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection, (NKJV)

Harvest Time serves open-communion on the FIRST Sunday of every month in our morning service. Open communion simply means: if you believe in Jesus Christ, His death, burial and resurrection you may partake of the Lord’s supper with us.

Communion is a very sacred element that the church has been commanded to take part in. We take communion in remembrance of what Jesus Christ, our Savior, did for us on the cross and in the tomb. Jesus defeated death and sin and through that we have the opportunity for new life. In Matthew 26 we see where Jesus and His disciples first took holy communion.

Matthew 26:26-28
And as they were eating, Jesus took bread, and blessed, and brake it; and He gave to the disciples, and said, Take, eat; this is My body. And He took a cup, and gave thanks, and gave to them, saying, Drink e all of it; for this is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many unto remission of sins.

1 Corinthians 11:26
For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink the cup, ye proclaim the Lord’s death till He come.

Dedicating your child to God is an important step to show that you are putting God FIRST in the raising of your child.  Harvest Time is honored to take this step with you and provide this opportunity to celebrate the life or your little one.

I Samuel 1:26 (MSG)
I prayed for this child and God gave me what I asked for. And now I have dedicated him to God. He’s dedicated to God for life.
